Jinny Yu is an artist based in Ottawa and Berlin. Through the medium of painting, she explores the complexities of belonging and place by reflecting on the shifting roles of guest and host. Her work has been widely exhibited, including at the Art Gallery of Ontario (2024), the 56th Venice Biennale (2015) and Kunst Doc Art Gallery, Seoul (2012). Her works are held in major collections such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, AGO, and Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. Yu is represented by Nicholas Metivier Gallery.
